Math Grade 6 and Honors Math Grade 6
Students in grade 6 will use the Glencoe Math workbook series.
Honors students will work at a slightly quicker pace on certain lessons. They will also see portions of the Grade 7 curriculum during the second semester.
Students need the following supplies for math class this year:
- pencils and erasers (if students use mechanical pencils, they need to have a supply of lead)
- personal pencil sharpener (with an attached pencil shavings container)
- a notebook or loose leaf paper
- a folder for worksheets (unless notebook has an attached folder inside already)
- 1 pack dry erase markers
Homework is assigned almost every night. Usually, there is no homework after an assessment. Homework will usually come from the in-class workbook. If so, it will say “Extra Practice” at the top with a place for students to write down what the homework is (All, Evens, Odds, Just the Front, etc.). If your student is not bringing homework home, please contact me!
