This week will end with the last weekly assessment of the 2nd 9-weeks. Encourage students to start reviewing all lessons in their workbook. Week of 1/8/18 to 1/12/18
Happy New Year and welcome back. We are already half way through the school year. Our students fully know what is expected from them to be successful in class, in both academics and behavior. We will jump right into new concepts and continue to march. We will finish using volume 1 of the workbook this week and students will be issued volume 2. Students will be allowed to keep volume 1. By the end of this week the students should have mastered what some consider as pre-Algebra (Expressions and Equations): 4(x -1) = 20; solve for x. x= 6.
Week of 1/22/18 to 1/26/18
This week students will be given more homework to make up practice time from last week school closure. Please make sure students are putting some time in at home. If students pay attention in class, the homework can be easily finished. The workbooks the students are using have several examples and the students will have completed problems they worked in class. We need to keep our students focused and prepared the last few months of school, starting now. Thank you for your support and attention to this matter.
Week of 2/26/18 to 3/2/18
