Hello. My name is Rickey Guidry. I am one of the science teachers at Henry Ford. This is my third year with Henry Ford, and I am very excited to work with all of my students and their parents. During August and September in 6th grade, we have been working on our Earth Science Unit. Students have been doing various activities and projects to learn all about the Earth, Moon, Sun, and so much more. Enjoy the pictures below showing what they have been up too!!!
Students are currently working on an Energy and Motion Unit. They are learning about different types of stored energy and energy of motion. They are also learning about Newton’s Laws to understand why objects move the way they do in various situations. Lab pictures to come!!!!!!

Students are currently working on their cell unit. They are learning about parts of the cells and various processes cells go through on a daily basis such as photosynthesis, cellular respiration, and much more. Lab pictures to come soon!!!!
This year, as part of enrichment, students are participating in various types of courses that allow them to learn and practice certain skills. My enrichment subject is STEM. Below I will update the page with images of various projects students will be completing throughout the year.
